Galvanised steel ground spike that you drive into grass, sand or soil. The mast slides in and is secured with a screw.
The sturdiest solution on a soft surface, and by far the cheapest way to really anchor a beach flag. Not usable on paving or asphalt — pick a cross base or weight plate there.
